Exterior Walls in Progress:

Exterior walls are built in sections, flat on the floor. The vertical wood studs are measured, cut and attached to horizontal wood plates on the top and bottom of the wall to create the structure.

Then the exterior sheathing is attached to the face of the studs and the joints between the sheathing panels are sealed with sheathing tape.

Finally, the wall is lifted into place as a complete piece, positioned to be plumb and level, and secured with diagonal bracing. The large opening in this wall is for a future glass sliding door and transom window.
